Health Outreach - Primary Health Care work in South Africa

The primary health care work of the Medical University of Southern Africa (Medunsa) reaches out to about two million people in the neighbourhood. Even when the pharmacy is only a picnic coolbox, babies get their shots!

The mobile clinic Community H.E.A.R.T. provided enables nursing students and staff to go to schools to check the health of the children in the area. Student nurses and doctors learn to practice in the conditions they will have to work in when they graduate.
